{UAH} TO DR. BESIGYE, PARTICIPATE IN THE DEBATE///

 

Dr Besigye,

I'm writing to request you to attend the presidential debate taking place tomorrow 15/01/2016. Obviously, there is no point debating your comrades in the struggle to dislodge the NRM governement, but you must prepare your self just in case the president turns up anyway. The reasons are mentioned here below:

1/ This is an opportunity for you to outline and explain your manifesto even further, especially to the non decided segment, but also answer citizens' questions.

2/ In your absence, president Museveni might actually turn up and capture the opportunity to explain his manifesto, but also tear yours apart. His people know that your absence is key to gaining maximum leverage to drive engagement with his supporters, but also harvest yours. News that he will not participate in the debate might be a ploy to confuse you into staying away. He is terrified of debating both yourself and Hon Mbabazi.

3/ Please mind the opinion of the international community, especially where the yield of such debates is concerned.

4/ Please do not underestimate the shining element behind the podium. The act does not diminished your personality, it always elevates you even if you say nothing. Obviously, keeping quite is not in your nature.
