{UAH} Besigye and Mbabazi still continue to carry the day!

The world isn't simply looking on at what is happening in Uganda.
The planet has been mourning and sharing the grief of the Ugandan peoples
whose cheated presidential victory has signed a waiver of claims against the self-acclaimed victor, now seen as an impostor!! And a press analysis has predicted Museveni losing full control of the situation and eventually his power dwindling and disappearing within the loss process! Will the security forces be a reliable rampart for the regime? Several observers have often hinted on Museveni's continued stay in power for years and years more again simply because he has the army and the police under his full tutelage. this is perhaps what one may see in Kampala today. but everything has a limit and an end! The army and the police, given the whole local and international grumbles, may once be obliged to choose new covers where to expose new loyalties! After all these are soldiers who are just being used in a manoeuvre that escapes their personal responsibility. The real culprits, in the eyes of the world community, are M7 and the EC! And what should Besigye and Mbabazi do now? Much of the international opinion commends what they have been planning to do, to gather data and all evidence about the rigging, compile them in a joint report ( other candidates can also join in the exercise) and forward the report to courts of law both at home and abroad, also to human rights institutions and to world governments. It's further recommended that they should act in concert with religious institutions in the country and some of the powerful NGOs, and the very much concerned diaspora. If in the course of the exercise, the security forces or any other authority intervenes to encroach upon their noble activity, they should immediately inform the world about it. Their official report should end by denouncing the whole electoral exercise as unjust, unfair, and not even fitting for kangaroo and goat standards! Yes, indeed! The recent polling was more of an insult to the people of Uganda! And now you hear of Africans appealing for the rehabilitation of Idi Amin Dada.....! This is very serious!
The authorities stand to lose everything with the continued detention, house arrest, and illtreatment of Besigye and Mbabazi, in addition to brutalizing the innocent civilians in Kampala and elsewhere! All this continues to confirm what would be expected from the effects of a bad election fallout!
What would be expected to be offered to both Besigye and Mbabazi? One of them has been premier for years, and the other would be a president-elect! So in the eyes of the international opinion both men are very great and extremely powerful on the national scene and very particularly outstanding on the global scene! Therefore it's clear that no feasible solution can be found to the present national crisis without involving in any process thereof both Besigye and Mbabazi! These are now the most eagerly longed for actors on Uganda.
And much of the international community, quite in anticipation of peaceful developments in the country, is fully in support of the idea of a negotiated settlement resulting in the formation of a government where Besigye and Mbabazi  and a number of their colleagues will play centre stage role in advancing the country towards any good ideals in democracy, economic development, prosperity in various sectors of progress, etc... Any such settlement shouldn't see Museveni dominating Besigye and Mbabazi but pacing on equal footing with the two statesmen. It would therefore be a great repugnance for Ugandans and the international community to attend any swearing-in at Kololo when the Besigye / Mbabazi question remains grossly untreated! This would be an irresponsible move and an insult to the Ugandan masses and an act that would lead the powerful world opinion to fall into unnecessary despondency that would later display bad returns to the nation!

G.H.K.
