Last night I watched this very moving documentary which chronicles the
rise and the fall of the Black Panther movement in the USA. The Black
Panthers were a radical black liberation as well as a socialist
movement. As an African socialist, I learnt new things I did not
know about the movement, and especially the failure of the leadership
at very crucial and critical junctures in the bitter struggle. It is
a must watch for all those who want to know more about the struggle of
black people in the USA. I am going to use it next saturday in my
Marxist Study Group in Luton Town, UK.
