A Brief Unemployment Check (Uganda 2016).

This is what the numbers indicate if the statistics are correct. The end result is completely baffling.
The latest Uganda Bureau of Statistics figures show that 75% of the population are below the age of 30.
If the population stands at 39 million people (2015), that means Uganda has more than 29 million youths.
If 80% of youths are unemployed that is equivalent to over 23 million young people jobless.
UNBS figures also say that "the number of unemployed youth among the total unemployed persons is 64 percent".
So if 23 million jobless youths is equivalent to 64% of the total unemployed , then that means that Uganda has a staggering 36 million unemployed and loosely employed citizens.
The similarly baffling conclusion is that in this country, only 3 million people out of a 39 million population, are employed.
