COL BESIGYE, APPOINTING AN NRM MINISTER IS NOT THE SAME AS OFFERING THE NRM A MINISTERIAL POST!!

Over the week, the FDCs Presidential candidate Col Besigye in a rather obscure and ambiguous pronouncement at a rally in Lira, reiterated that in the event of victory, his cabinet would even include NRM ministers as well as those from the other parties.

Whether this invitation is jab Hon Mbabazi's campaign team or a preparation for eventual parliamentary reality is hard to say.

One thing is for sure, though: appointing an individual member of the NRM to a Minister is not the same as offering the NRM party a ministerial post!!!

((The same is true for any other of the parties)).

The latter entails dialogue and agreement at party level between the parties concerned. It remains to be seen whether such discussions are undertaken or are in process.

So, what does the FDC leader really mean? Shouldn't he not have dialogued with the parties so that the election would instead, has been a referendum for a "GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL UNITY"?
