Kamwenge- The ruling NRM party presidential candidate, Yoweri Museveni, has run shot of pledges, the Farmers' Party presidential candidates, Gen Benon Biraaro, has said.

Gen Birararo, who held an impromptu rally in Kamwenge Town on Friday, scoffed at Mr Museveni for pledging hoes and sanitary pads.

"I hear Mr Museveni and his NRM have started pledging sanitary pads, hoes and condoms, [but] such pledges cannot transform Ugandans economically," said Biraaro.

If voted into power, Gen Biraaro said his government will offer free loans to farmers, business community, students and women.
After a rally in Kamwenge Town, Gen Biraaro proceeded in Kitagwenda County, where he was scheduled to address his last rally in Kamwenge District.

Gen Biraaro became the fifth presidential candidates to visit Kamwenge District after Dr Kizza Besigye of FDC, Prof Venansius Baryamureeba (Independent), Mr Amama Mbabazi of Go-Forward and President Museveni of the ruling NRM party.
