{UAH} A poignant voting observation!
Forum,
It seems the political class in Uganda has sufficiently pissed off a certain segment of previously politically inactive citizens.
At my polling station I saw this gentleman dressed in casual wear to seems to have never voted in his life, as he asked polling staff a few questions.
Eventually he got his ballot paper, put in a basin, ticked at the bottom, placed it in a ballot box and matched straight to ink his thumb. He did not vote for either the Woman MP or Area MP.
They asked him to go and vote the other two and he simply said "those ones don't matter to me".
So next time you think all those who used not to turn up were disenchanted supporters of the opposition, think again!
