{UAH} Brig Kyanda records Gen Angina, takes tape to Museveni

A row between the Chief of Staff Land Forces and the deputy Chief of Defence Forces Lt Gen Charles Angina is turning ugly and might bog down work in the UPDF.

Both Kyanda and Lt Gen Angina who are blue-eyed boys of Museveni have been wrangling over how UPDF operations should be run.

They two have been accusing each other of wrong doing before the First son, Brig Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the son to the Commander-in-Chief.

According to Military sources, Brig Kyanda, the former Chief of Military Intelligence, recorded Gen Angina in February complaining about lack of will to stamp out corruption in the military and the ministry of defence.

It's also said that Brig Kyanda "fought so hard" to make sure Gen Angina failed the parliamentary elections conducted in Bombo military headquarter where the deputy army boss failed with 103 votes.

Gen Elly Tumwine also survived losing during the elections. He beat Angina with only two votes.

There were reports of some army units celebrating the failure of Gen Angina, whom soldiers don't like because of his strictness on corruption and indiscipline.

The wrangling between the officers has reached a level where the two cannot be in the same room for a meeting.
