{UAH} OBITUARY

Announcing the passing away of our dear Uganda and Acholi community elder, Mr Philip Okelo Patuda. Patuda left us last Sunday approximately 4:00am after a 9 month battle with colon cancer. He sustained a fall several stairs waking up neighbors in the building who found him gasping for breath. Was stable in hospital for next two days until pneumonia struck. I went to see him him with a couple of friends only to find his unconscious on oxygen and all advanced life-saving gadgets beeping all around.

Those of us who knew him know him as a very wonderful counselor/adviser on a range of issues. Patuda was a Paralegal Lawyer who helped many in his capacities - often free. He is survived by a son in Ottawa, Canada and two daughters in Sweden. He was also a certified pilot. We will miss Philip Okelo Patuda.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

"But this I know, UPC believed and still believes in
very high education. We can call Obote all bad names we have, but the bottom line remains that he got more scholarships for Buganda than all previous Uganda leaders combined. That includes Sir Edward Mutesa, President Lule, President Binayisa, up to and into Ssabasajja Mutebi. Who all happen to be Baganda leaders." Mulindwa
