{UAH} Tamale to Tumwebaze: You’ve stolen enough, resign or die

Mirundi Tumwebaze

Presidential advisor on media affairs, Tamale Mirundi, has advised Presidency minister Frank Tumwebaze to leave Kampala or risk losing his life.

"You (Tumwebaze) came to Kampala to steal. You have stolen enough already. Please leave before angry people of Kampala can kill you."

Mirundi made the remarks Thursday night while appearing on ABS TV programme "Tomorrow's leader".

Mirundi once more alleged that the Kampala minister was actually allied to former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi.

"I told you this before. Tumwebaze is Mbabazi's boy."

Mirundi had lost his temper accusing Tumwebaze of allegedly belittling the way President Yoweri Museveni has handled the question of opposition leader Kizza Besigye's presence in Kampala city.

The motor-mouthed President's dog quotes Tumwebaze saying Museveni was ill-advised on how to deal with Besigye.

"Now listen to this thief (sic). He is empty-headed. How can he dare portray the president as stupid(sic)? Saying the president was ill-advised, is he (Tumwebaze) cleverer than Museveni?" fumed Mirundi.

He advised the minister to stick to corrupt deals which he "understands better".

"He should learn from thieves like Jennifer Musisi (KCCA ED) and Brig Proscovia Nalweyiso ( Presidential advisor on security). They steal and keep quiet. No one will bother them. But this one (Tumwebaze) is everywhere with his big mouth belittling the president!"

Mirundi further gave an example of former Kampala mayor Nasser Ntegge Ssebaggala who he accused of "selling out Baganda" for his selfish gains.

"Right now, if Ssebaggala is walking and he realises three people are following him, he hides in the next nearest toilet (fearing for his life)."

Mirundi further accused Tumwebaze and Musisi of failing to manage the city which cost Museveni votes in Kampala.

"Museveni was trying to calm down the people of Kampala but these two were busy antagonising. For example, when they expelled Erias Lukwago (Kampala Lord Mayor), did they complete the democracy cycle in Kampala? You see! Empty heads!"

He continued: "Tumwebaze, Musisi should lie low like an envelope. If Tumwebaze had any tot of wisdom in his head, he would tender in his resignation and go home. People will kill him, wait and see."

Mirundi said while Tumwebaze is stealihvng in the president's name, if the government was to change, he would instead of protecting Museveni, run to Mbabazi.

"That is what am telling you. This one came to steal. His father didn't even own a bicycle. He never owned a shop. But you see him here running after traders and street vendors. Where did he grow up from?"
