{UAH} Aga Khan offers to treat 400 Uganda cancer patients
Aga Khan hospital located in the Kenyan capital Nairobi has offered to treat 400 of the stranded Ugandan cancer patients.
The junior Health Minister Chris Baryomunsi revealed this on Thursday.
Baryomunsi informed Parliamentary plenary that Uganda has got an offer from Aga Khan hospital Nairobi to treat 400 cancer patients.
The government will also provide transport and upkeep for the 400 patients.
The minister was explaining the process of acquiring a new cancer treatment machine for Mulago hospital.
He said the design for required bunker is done and the procurement process has been completed.
The construction of bunker is expected to start in May this year.
This follows the breakdown of the only radiotherapy machine at Mulago Cancer Institute.
