{UAH} Supreme Court ruling : political victory for Mbabazi, difficulties for Museveni and his EC!
The Supreme Court has spoken and the US Embassy advises mourning Ugandans to adhere to the judgement. While an experienced legal expert, Prof Kanyeihamba, and an outspoken Bishop Zac Niringiye, among others, come out very bravely to criticize the judgement. In any case that type of judgement was what was most expected in Museveni's Uganda where situations are created to cower everybody under his blanket when the supreme headmaster raises the cane.
Every citizen is aware of what happened before, during and after the hearing of the petition. No need to go into details except to remind of that environment created with intent to frighten the opposition, the judges, and the entire population. Everywhere the place was reported to be in a state of fear with military and police deployment available in every corner even in Kasangati village where even a cough from a certain house would sound as a machine gun to frighten doves and kites in some quarters.
So it's now finished! No way to appeal anywhere! But statesman Mbabazi advises fellow citizens not to give up but to encourage the struggle to move forward! Great heroism for a person who was wrongly rated with a mere 1.5 % and didn't abandon the cause, went to court to challenge the poll and though now rejected he stands very smartly as a real national hero capable of leading a people to newer horizons. Mbabazi has in addition attracted most of Africa on his side and is seen as a wise statesman by the international community which can't be attracted to a Museveni-inspired verdict. The man who has already praised the judges and their decision is going to Kololo for his oath and life for Ugandans will continue to take its very dull course with no hope of seeing things get better! However, people shouldn't lose hope. The ball is now in their hands. They have the nation as their own property. They have their institutions, including political parties and their respected gurus. And they have always had their patience translated into their heroism and determination. So, why lose hope? People have a right to an action in defence of their national interests. The world is aware of the injustices committed during the recently concluded electoral exercice. And Mbabazi has heroically come out to show the way forward. His legal team impressed in spite of what happened to their chambers! At one time during the hearing the judges gave a very hard time to the EC and Kiggundu looked out of place almost on the point of weeping in the august court room. Like his master, he is now looking ashamed because the body he is heading is denounced worldwide as being incompetent and out of place in a country that tries to rebuild itself in all matters regarding democracy, transparency, and accountability. He is even quoted as having advised Mbabazi to stand his luck in 2021! Okay, well and good! At that time the determined Ugandans will have championed moves to create a new EC that's devoid of corruption and malapractices. Another person, I think this Kasule Lumumba, a noisy lady, was heard advising Mbabazi to return to NRM for " rehabilitation "! Surely NRM needs Mbabazi but not for rehabilitation ( which Kasule Lumumba and others need ) but to lead it and help it see vision, common sense, maturity, etc... NRM is a dead party because it triumphs on archaisms in order to pretend big. Without these, there is no NRM! If NRM wants a future it has only now got to kneel down before Mbabazi and kindly request him to lead it. Subsequent post election events are confirming Mbabazi as the greatest NRM member and as surety to political maturity and wisdom within our nation. Forget about anything and look at Mbabazi teaming with Norbert Mao, Besigye, Muntu,Olara Otunnu, the JEEMA gurus, ETC... to create new realism in a fading Uganda. And the sooner the nation loudly cheers such a group the better, because before the world community which shares sympathy with Ugandans the real fight against that permanent injustice others may pretend to have correctly acquired from the ruling will now be on balance. Any political dynamism shown to the opposition will have dictatorship dimmed by neo-nationalism strongly fighting for human rights, transparency at election, accountability in every national activity, etc... This is where Mbabazi, backed by other opposition figures and the disgruntled ones in NRM, will play the role of a redeemer. Museveni isn't politically safe at all, at all, at all! The verdict was a spolier to the visionary because it's looked at not as a court verdict but as a Museveni-made verdict to boost all fiddles of dictatorship through rigged polls! In other words, permanent rigging is now sanctioned as a mode! But it will die away with action and courage as demonstrated by an intrepid Mbabazi!
Two persons are very happy with the verdict : Museveni and Kiggundu. And on the other hand two persons have been aired to shame via this verdict : Museveni and Kiggundu. Museveni needed this verdict to prove that he's a popularly accepted leader and that the law has confirmed it! Kiggundu's unacceptable manoeuvres that hinge on injustice, corruption at poll and untold open rigging needed the verdict to make Kiggundu smile for a while. But not knowing that he will soon have to look dull when he will be tasked to full explanation by the pitiless international medias which will go at it hammer and tongs! Medias won't miss a chat with Museveni and Kiggundu! And let the two get prepared for it! They had better sell their lies to sections of myopism, may be in their midst, but not to the well alerted global community which has disqualified them for apt and competent leadership!
Now Mbabazi has played this card of planning and building for a patriotic Uganda which will never see again this type of EC rubbish and any other unacceptable childish weakness within the nation's institutions, most of which really need to undergo an overhaul of sweeping reforms in order to render them credible and creditable. Our institutions as they stand today are but pell-mell creations almost intended to favour the actions of one single individual or a particular clique. Ugandans mustn't accept this trend of individualistic tendencies to continue dominating their country's national life. Time has now come to spot out messiahs to drive us to a political paradise. Mbabazi and group are the new hope for the better!
Ugandans should think very deeply on the future of their country especially now that Museveni is going to take the oath soon and open another chapter of the same type of leadership for another five years! And after? Same thing, same scenario! This is where Mbabazi and group are very relevant and they should enlist the full support of all Ugandans to give energy to their action geared on the nation's determination against some of these vapour-powered brains who see no vision for the country! And let all our national gurus join the stage to outdance any so called permanent dancer until he's forced to leave the floor to other more experienced and pragmatic dancers who can very easily win the applause of the audience!
Listen to yourselves as children of the same land. Global sympathy is there for you. They know what happened and they will never let down Uganda! Don't lend your ears to any power that tells you to submit to injustice, other very much experienced powers don't share such views! They are entirely with you, fellow nationals!
