{UAH} Ugandans to enjoy visa-free travel to South Africa

Ugandan travellers to South Africa may soon travel easier moves to remove visa requirements for Uganda's are lifted by the South African government.

While appearing on NTV's morning show, Morning AT NTV, the South African High Commissioner to Uganda, Solly Mollo said that he was optimistic that in a few months time, the requirement for a visa to travel to South Africa for less than 90 days will be scrapped.

However, Ambassador Mollo says the move will work faster when both countries resolve issues around their biometric verification measures.

Uganda and South Africa enjoy a favourable trade billed at about Shs83 billion the bulk of which is in imports of services.

Currently, Ugandans travelling to South Africa part with over 400,000 shillings for a visa to South Africa.
