Objet : Fwd: {UAH} Is Kizza Besigye making a fool of himself?

Besigye isn't making a fool of himself, for in the first place he isn't
alone in believing what he's believing in. A cross-section of the world community
as well as the entire opposition side and others in the country are with him to ascertain the fact
that it was the opposition candidate who won the presidential poll. The manner in which
Badru Kiggundu acted as well as all circumstances surrounding Mbabazi's petition are things
to help Besigye feel sure of his win. And the public is there to prove it! Did Ugandans inside and outside the country welcome Museveni's precipitately announced victory in any ecstasy of delight? No! Because they knew what took place behind the curtains! And Ugandans can't be fooled anyhow! They are now calm because they are a peace-loving lot but at the same time a well-determined mind looking at what their opposition gurus are going to decide as a next step. Museveni will announce his cabinet and take oath at Kololo. Besigye too will be right to announce his and take oath promising to combat any divisionary leadership, corruption, police brutality, economic injustice, etc... His government will unite forces with the parliamentary opposition and others.
The international community will understand Besigye's move and some circles will encourage it! any opinions want to see all Ugandans committed in the fight against any political misbehaviour. They expect Ugandans to be the full authors of their destiny. Reaction against all injustices in the country has got to come first from Uganda. And Ugandans would be seen as very naive if they tolerated the status quo that would in future continue to regularly repeat the same bad scenario! Besigye and the opposition in general plus the population itself are justified in their moves towards a socio-economico-political ideal ! No more need to keep mum about any of those veryu dirty ills that have led the country to the rot!
Whether he won or he didn't win the essential core of the subject is that a great bulk of the population entrusted him and the opposition with a mission which he promised to fulfil! And global opinion in general wouldn't like to see a sharp opposition condemned to silence when they have a lot to effect through action. The other chaps pride themselves in the presence of what they take to be their security forces. Okay, but they should know that a gun has never won anything in Uganda. It's people's will and brains that have won battles, etc.. in the country. The gun has proved too weak to sustain anything with durability. It has failed to subdue a party like the Democratic Party that digs its principles in brain power. And any gun  will never succeed to subjugate in conquest the will of the masses.
Guns in politics are an episode of sheer primitivity and senseless backwardness leading to a kind of a stone age darkness.
Did Besigye of the opposition really win the presidency when NRM in addition justifies its victory with reference to the near-300 Parliamentary seats it won and the very many district chairpersons it pocketed? Fairly or unfairly?
A presidential election isn't at all a parliamentary or district election! It's a global national election where a potentially successful candidate is always seen bigger than his party and politically more of a national profile destined to the greatest office in the land. Therefore a presidential candidate may not necessarily need any ready structures on terrain as his political personality and programme and potential action will naturally sell his candidature!
In this case even an independent candidate who isn't affiliated to any political group can sweep a presidential poll.
And Ugandans have always made a sharp electoral distinction between a president, an MP and district chairperson. Each one of these offices is assessed as an independent apraisal by the electorate during the campaigns. The electorate becomes full supreme judge to qualify and disqualify individuals!  And this is what threw in panic some numbers who decided to take to rigging! And the panic isn't yet over as the "defeated" still continue to enjoy wide sympathy both locally and internationally. And this support is detrimental to others who now think they will break Besigye and others thru police action, etc... All this is in vain! To persecute persons like Besigye, Mbabazi, and other pillars of the Opposition like Norbert Mao, etc is to waste time and to demonstrate a dull blunt cowardice! The tormentors through their very childish attitude want to wrongly pose as the real masters of the situation which in fact evades their data capture. And they are out of place and out of logic in particular as they tend to ignore good advice from eminent actors on Uganda who have opined that it would be a very serious mistake and an open miscalculation to ignore the aspirations of the opposition and their very eventual involvement in any regime structure. All these very sharp heads and their very tremendous influence musn't indeed be led astray by any bad politics. To ignore them is to let down a great percentage of the population. And this won't be tolerated in many circles.
So Besigye and others aren't a Robinson Crusoe living in isolation but real political gurus in Uganda with the international community quite committed to their political action for the good of the nation.

G.H.K.

So in effect they are rationalizing their delusions.
Imprint is a very terrible thing to come out of.
So steps should be put in place for massive debriefing.

Subject: {UAH} Is Kizza Besigye making a fool of himself?

By John C. Ssentongo

Some people ask; why is Kizza Besigye making a fun of himself?
The truth of the matter is – he is not.

The Forum for Democratic Change leaders and supporters have made it very clear - they won the February 18, 2016 presidential election. That is what is imprinted in their minds whether you want it or not.
FDC could have scored dismally when it came to getting seats in the 10th August House. And NRM people are always more than ready to remind them that the majority in the House means the victory was truly theirs.

However, FDC party has assured its supporters that Besigye indeed won the presidential election.
The events before and after the elections day, put doubt in the minds of voters, including NRM supporters, that we were headed for a free and fair election.
Besigye was under house arrest for a number of weeks, and as a matter of fact, he has not freedom to move as he so wishes around the country.

However everywhere Besigye goes, he is greeted by mammoth crowds who shower him with gifts.
This has made the doctor believe he is the more popular man than even the incumbent.
The FDC leader knows Museveni buys patronage, but, for him, the poor masses have been contributing to his campaign.

With all that in mind, Besigye does not believe Badru Kiggundu announced the right results. That is why he has convinced his forces that the election was stolen. And everything they do is to prove to whoever wants to hear them out that the regime in Kampala is illegitimate.
But even without the manner in which he is being treated, before the electioneering process began, Besigye didn't believe in the fairness of the elections.
He chose the path called 'defiance'. And he has been consistent.

The supporters of FDC are now holding on the hope that Besigye can be sworn in president. The party has asked for an independent audit for results. The government and the Electoral Commission look disinterested and life is moving on.
Now that Kizza Besigye's supporters are planning to "swear" him in on the exact day Museveni will be in Kololo for a similar event, there are voices saying, the FDC people must be deluded.

Of course, it is impossible to swear in another president. Besigye knows that more than anyone else in his party.
And what he is actually trying to do is what he called "defiance" on the day of his nomination by the EC.
By defiance, Besigye keeps the spirit of his supporters alive, believing that one day, something will happen to change the odds.

The supporters of Besigye borrow a lot from supporters of the English club Arsenal, who every year believe they would win the English premier league or champions league without doing the necessary.
