Catherine Byaruhangan reported on the BBC World service this morning
that Mr Besigye was brought to a court in Nakawa at 7 AM to be charged
with various offences, including treason. Courts in Uganda open at 9
AM, Neither Besigye nor his lawyers were informed about this rather
bizarre process of arraignment of an accused person facing serious
charges, carrying a death sentence.
What precisely is Rwandan cut-throat Kayibanda up to? Do you know if
Mr Katreebe has complained about this patent abuse of court process
and denial of an accused person access to legal representation.
