{UAH} IS IT BYE-BYE TO OPPOSITION'S SAMSON & DELILAH (FDC)?

Because of their official stand that the NRM presidency is illegitimate and that it is the FDC candidate Dr. Besigye who won the presidential polls, it therefore seemed to make mathematical sense that the Forum for Democratic Change party (FDC) rejected the position of Leader of Opposition in Parliament.
The parallel swearing-in ceremony for Dr. Besigye had more legitimacy with supporters once they rejected the LOP post.
Interestingly, it would have been free political mileage for the Democratic Party (DP), and better manoeuvering space for FDC, if DP took up the position instead. I am yet to understand why DP refused to do so. Obviously the National Resistance Movement party wouldn't take it, but DP gains nothing in refusing to become Leader of Opposition. It also doesn't make sense that FDC ultimately decided to accept the post when they claim that Dr. Besigye is the legitimately elected president and have requested for an independent audit.
It was a matter of principal. However it seems convenience won.
This is cause for celebration at NRM which has been granted the unsollicited victory and some much sought legitimacy.
And FDC has become the party that somehow consistently launders all the electoral fraud for the last 15 years.
But with their candidate at Luzira maximum prison, is the FDC party any greater or has it started down the DP/UPC path?
Their actions yesterday tended to confirm that unless some divine intervention, their latest attempt at becoming the ruling party is now clearly unsuccessful.
