Museveni undresses Captain Mike Mukula before CEC members, calls him a conman

If you thought the National Executive Committee (CEC) that sat on Tuesday and chaired by President Museveni himself to decide on the Speaker's position was only hard for Jacob Oulanyah, you better think again.
The president, according to our bugs in State House, came out strongly to chastise the vice chairman for eastern region Captain Mike Mukula for lying that the president had sent him as an envoy at the height of Kasese Conflict.
Museveni blasted Mukula before his CEC colleagues, calling him a conman.
Apparently, Mukula masqueraded as a presidential envoy to gain either cheap popularity or political relevance.
He went meeting the traditional, religious and political leaders in Rwenzori region telling them that the president had sent him to mediate peace. He even called for inter religious prayers on behalf of the president.
Mukula met bishops and RDCs, talking about the way forward for Kasese region.
The angry Museveni took about 30 minutes castigating Mukula for assigning himself security tasks which put his life in harm's way.
"That's a security matter," the president roared.
Mukula who buried his head between his hands throughout the talk down, said nothing in his defense.
