{UAH} Security Panic as New Defiance Groups Plan to Burn Kampala on M7’s Swearing

Security agencies in Kampala are in panic over circulation of videos CDS around the countries which are warning all traders to close their shops and their join massive protests to block president Museveni from swearing Thursday next week lest they burn down their shops.

The videos have raised eyebrows among the city traders who are in fear that their shops and merchandise may be burnt by the Group dubbed calling itself "KWERANAKO" who are threatening to deal with them in case they don't join them to demonstrate.

Kampala City Traders Association publicity Issa Sekito has urged the government to come to their rescue and provide security.

The videos in circulation display how regimes of Iddi Amin Dada and Dr Milton Obote tortured and killed people in 80s reflecting that they would also do the same incase the traders fail to join them for their cause come Thursday 12 May.

''Traders all over the country are in fear over these videos circulating which are spreading enmity and hatred among the Ugandans especially the business community. We don't see the reason why police and army are just quiet when the situation is getting out of hand.''

''In Rwanda Genocide started like this where people circulated such videos but government never took them serious by the time security agencies woke up the situation had gotten out of hand so we don't want such scenario to happen here 'he said

Sekitto added that KWERWANAKO Group has even gone outside Uganda in south Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya and Congo to circulate their messages which are scaring away traders across borders.

Kampala metropolitan spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed to have also seen the videos being circulated but assured the traders that security agencies are quietly hunting for those spreading tapes and said that very soon they will be brought to book.
