We have a developing issue in the city where a pregnant woman has been killed, her tiny baby delivered by emergency C-section after a drive by shooting in Rexdale. The woman was hit in by at least one bullet while sitting in the back seat of a car travelling on John Garland Blvd near Jamestown Cr. The shots are thought to have come from a car headed in the opposite direction. A team from Sick Kids is helping with the care of the infant at Sunnybrook Hospital. A very quick decision  was made at the crime scene that even though the mother is dead, the baby inside her was alive, and an emergency C-section was done and the baby retrieved. As by 3.15 am this Toronto morning time, Police was stating that the baby is still alive in Sunny Brook hospital.
