Good news Mr DOKOLO, and I agree he should do as you told him.

He is disappointed to have narrowly missed out on a First Class degree, but I have told him what he has achieved is remarkable for a a boy who has just turned 21 years of age. At his age, most students are just starting Univerisity.
The second good news is that he has also been admitted to to Nottingham University Law School to start in September, but I have asked him to defer his law studies for at least 3 years so he can gain real life work experience. Most prestigious law firms in the UK today prefer lawyers with experience in other fields of life, rather than those who have gone staright from secondary school to study law at University.
My mother, who at 103, is in the autumn of her life, had as her last wish the desire to see her last grandson graduate from University before she departs this earth. This wish has been granted as she is unlikely to see her last grand-children, my two daughters, graduate as they still have a long way to go with Medical studies.
I extend my sincere gratitude to Lewisham Council, London, UK, for granting my son one of the 3 scholarships it gives every year to local students who have shown exceptional academic ability and passed their ir GCSE exams with distinction. Without their help, I might have struggled to maintain 3 children at University, a an expensive enterprise that is increasingly denying many children from poorer backgrounds a chance to get University education.
Finally, my late father who passed away in 2009, must be smilingly at me today. I have passed the first test he must have set for me from wherever he is high above. A fanatical believer in education, my father lived for education. Education was his mantra, and to him the key to anything and everything in life. His last words to me were, if even if you have to walk naked in order to buy a pen and paper for your child, do it, because education is the greatest gift you can give to your child. Let the child fail because of his own fault, but dont let him fail because of your fault as his father. I am proud to say I have not let my father down.
