KAMPALA - Uganda plans to withdraw troops involved in an operation to hunt down Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels in Central African Republic by the end of this year, a spokesman for its military said on Friday.
"We have communicated our intention to pull out. We have been told that the AU (African Union) thinks we should hold on a bit. We are yet to look at their request and consider the merits of that request," said Paddy Ankunda. REUTERS
