{UAH} BRAIN DRAIN NEEDS REASSESING
People;
Reading this piece in the Monitor one can clearly see why Drain drain is a mega problem in third world countries and needs reassessing. My early suggested that nationals working abroad should be levied with tax, especially if they were trained in the home country before going for pasture anew. In Eritrea, nobody under the age of 45 is allowed to leave the country, the very reason why most use unconventional route out of Africa, but the policy itself could be better polished to work for the country. I am suggesting that Uganda introduces diaspora tax to help bridge the pay gap for those professionals who choose to remain and work in the home country.
In the interim, the Kampala Minister should impose one as soon as tomorrow levied at the airport for those visiting nationals with fake tans, dreadlocks and foreign looking piccaninnies.
In a future federal Uganda, brain drain will be a top agenda nationally and internationally.
