{UAH} For presenters, Ambassadors and others who are coming to the UNAA Convention in Boston this coming September

Fellow Ugandans,

If the politics have gotten you down like a good number of us, I'm here to say that there are other pursuits in life that are much more fluid and perhaps worth a lot more to our people than Ugandan politics.  I urge you to come to Boston this coming labor day weekend to the UNAA convention!

Try wearing your non -political hat or keep your old one if you may- it would be great to begin placing value, resonance and emphasis on new nation building facades that have not been explored!

Truth be told politicking takes 85% of our time, much to the peril of other societal demands and as some would argue - we have not made quantum leaps with it, so why should we continue throwing so much time at it!.  

Make no mistake the the Political, Business, social, Medical and Ingenuity -forums are going to be buzzing in Boston! Folks would like to hear about progress being made in Northern Uganda -so the Northern Uganda forum -is going to be running!  

We also wanted to hear from our Rwenzururu  brothers and sisters -much as we don't have a conflict resolution team -it is always a good idea to talk about these conflicts in a neutral environment - you just never know what comes out of these UNAA conventions!

We are still looking for good UNAA ambassadors-those who truly believe in this pie in the sky ideal of togetherness and indeed in the Idea that by convening as we have done in the past decades with other Ugandans from all walks of life, religious and political affiliations - is in itself great progress!  

I urge folks to check with the UNAA registry to see whether you are the UNAA designated Ambassador for your county!

What does it really mean being a UNAA Ambassador in terms of dollars and cents, -despite the prestige of being one - you and the folks you are coming with get some negotiated discount off the registration fee!   It gets better - you get called and recognized upfront -when all eyes are gazing upon you and above all you promote this worthy cause of UNAA!

 For those among us who are ready to Present please submit your intentions and papers-before the end of this month -that will give folks who are printing convention material a chance to include your topic and names onto the Program!

The time to submit your Presentation Papers for the official Uganda North American Association UNAA Convention taking place in BOSTON this han Ugandan politicscoming labor day weekend Sept.2nd - 4th 2016, is drawing nigh!

Please submit your Presentation for review to the following email address 9kaluma@gmail.com . If you feel you want to discuss before submitting it call me 774-999-9504 and I will be more than glad to help you package your ideas and forward them to the Forums committee.

All Ugandans who feel they have something to contribute towards the development of our Country are encouraged to put their thoughts in writing and submit an Abstract or a complete paper of what they want to present to the rest of us. Do not be bashful- you could be sitting on several patents or perhaps a plan that can change the employment prospects for hundreds of folks both in the Diaspora and at home! If not now -then when? We have a lot of Ugandan women who have climbed great heights of the corporate ladder -come teach us all how it ought to be done!

As for folks who are travelling from far be sure to begin your process for travel approval early some Embassies require a 60 day VISA processing period. Go ahead and register We look forward to seeing you in Boston this coming September!

Uganda Bostonian have a long and successful record of entertaining Ugandans after all we held one of the most successful UNAA convention to date -The Katikiro of Buganda can attest to our hospitality and we have just completed an incredible Marty's day weekend, which is still the buzz in town.

If you have not visited Boston this is your chance to come and learn about the home of such great families like the Kennedy's - the home of Great academic and health institutions such as MIT and Harvard or simply come and meet Ugandans from all the other continents. It is going to be bubbling without the covering tops.
