Brotherss and sisters, Mawogola has lost one of its former Saza
Chiefs, Benedicto Kalibbala. He has been an Encyclopedia on Mawogola
Affairs. He belonged to the indigenous Bannabwera community who were
integrated into Baganda nationality after Buganda annexed Buddu and
Bwera now Mawogola from Bunyoro.
As a researcher and a writer, l depended so much on the late Kalibbala
who ever saw my great grand father, as the first Bganda community to
settle in Mawogola in 1900, and he was a contemporary to my grand
father.
l send my condolences to relatives, friends and in laws including my
Ssembabule P.7. School R/C OBs Kawalya and Katumwa, and OGs; Nakalanzi
and Nabyonga.
