{UAH} MUSEVENI DONATES 400 TO ZAKAT AND WAQF FUND

Brothers and sisters, President Yoweri Museveni launched House of
Zakat and Waqf Uganda last evening Monday July 25th at Hotel Africana.
He presided over distribution of cheques the total of being 500
million shillings collected this year to beneficiaries many of them
were aged and retired sheikhs from different factions including
Kibuli, Old Kampala, Bukoto Nateete, Rubaga Road etc….Some are to
receive in kind in forms of cows, goats, etc… He donated 400 shillings
to the fund, promised to fund the construction of a Uganda orientation
College for Sheikhs and as usual, promised to continue helping the
Muslim community to realize reconciliation and unity.
Thanks to Haji Majid Baagalaaliwo, Chairperson of the board of
Trusties, Sheikh Abdul Obeid Kamulegeya, Chairperson Board of
Directors, Dr. Anasi Abdnoor Kaliisa, Chairperson/ Managing Director
Zakat Committee, Sheikh Hussein Rajab Kakooza, Director of Shariah,
and all others.
The function was broadcast live by Salaam TV.
