SV: {UAH} Sweden to investigate sex lives
Okello DOKOLO and UAH folks,
FIRST, I saw your question about the research by Swedes regarding SEXUAL activity among the folks in Sweden. I think, this may seem as some sort of jokes, but the truth is, it is not jokes but truth. There is working pressures and, or stress whereby folks come from work always tired that they find no interests for SEX!
SECOND, you see women here in Sweden they put their profession first and giving birth second place in priority. Things have changed quite much here in Sweden on social and political economic development. The Swedish women right from the late 1960s running through the mid-1970s one could say, the girls started entering for professional and higher studies but not being just house wives and producing children like their mothers did.
THIRD, it were men or boys who could study much higher than the girls within those eras. I have not done some very deep research on this assertion but some elementary studies and got might be some lazy findings. Today, you may be surprised to find the parent having their first child at nearly 35 years old meanwhile it could not be done in the periods of late 1960s through mid-1970s.
LASTLY, I think this might be what is driving the Swedish researchers to try to look into the problem of SEX or not. On the other hand, there is the issue of student loans and the economical well-beings of people after taking long times at school since the education system is paid for by the government on study loans! This makes people after school they continue to pay their study loans years in years out sometime till one goes to pension age!
On the other hand, there are political parties those are trying to reduce the 40 hours per week times to 35 hours per week. To them, the issue of SEX is a matter of health of the people since if one is not healthy he/she does not have feelings for SEX! This, is my small understanding on how this issue of SEX in Sweden is being pushed through some intellectual approach not just through heart pumping like my brother MIRIMA would want us to belief!

Gook/ Mike Ocaya P'Ocure,
Is it true that Swedes have lost interest in sex? I read in the press here that the average Swedish couple have sex once a month or less, but for most, sexual activity takes place about 28 times in a year!i Partly, this is because Sweden has the highest number of single adults in Europe- marriage as an insitution sems to have collapsed in Sweden. Thie prospect of living in Sweden must be frightening for a person like Alan Barigye.

Sweden to investigate sex lives
- 29 July 2016
Sweden is launching a three-year official study of its citizens' sex lives - the first for 20 years.
Health Minister Gabriel Wikstrom said sexual health policy should be guided not just by the problems, but also by the pleasurable aspects of sex.
Surveys done by tabloid newspapers suggest Swedes are having less sex, he wrote in the daily Dagens Nyheter. The new study should find out if that is true, and if so why, he said.
Stress could be a problem, he said.
The study will be conducted by Sweden's Public Health Agency, with the final report expected in June 2019.
Mr Wikstrom said it was "paradoxical that, while our whole society seems permeated by sex, in everything from advertising and social media to much of daily life, the topic is still shrouded by shame... and absent from the political debate".
Focusing on problems such as venereal disease, unwanted pregnancies and rape, to the exclusion of positive sexual experiences, risked distorting health policy, he said.
"How can we change attitudes," he asked, "when so many people, from parents and teachers to senior officials, are so obviously uncomfortable when talking about sex?"
