{UAH} Congratulations Makindye National Identity Card Registration Staff on being super humane when you recognised and respected SENIOR CITIZEN Henry Ford Mirima on August 8.

I went for registration at Makindye National Identity Card registration centre to get my national identity card.. I found nearly 100 people in the que. As I joined the que staff saw me and beckoned me to get out of the que and and get served ahead of everybody.

The staff did not utter one word why they were singling me out. Neither did the people in the que complain.

Three staff members began attending me and filling the forms for me.
I completed the exercise in about thirty minutes.I got my national identity number, and said a simple thank you to them. They all smiled and I walked away majestically.

While they did not utter one word as to why they were singling me out,  everybody realised the staff were honouring me as a senior citizen.

This sort of respect to senior citizens was common generations ago.  During those days we young people were culturally expected, and we honoured the practice, to respect elders by taking over and pushing their bicycles over the hills, carrying their luggages, and girls kneeling to greet them, etc
Once again, Makindye National Identity Card Registration Staff,CONGRATULATIONS on respecting senior citizens.

Henry Ford Mirima
Senior Citizen
