Floyd Mayweather Jr. plans to visit Uganda

Widely regarded as the best fighter of his generation following a stellar nineteen-year career, former boxing professional Floyd Mayweather Jr. is planning to make an appearance in Africa again, this time in Uganda.

The 39 year-old, who bowed out of boxing in September 2015 on 49-0, will be visiting Uganda off voyages to Brazil on his scouting mission, where he is eyeing up new signings for his promotional outfit, 'Money'.

Currently in top spot on the WBN's Pound for Pound Top 50, Floyd revealed his highly anticipated journey to the pearl, in a video recording with Ugandan boxer Sharif Bogere.

Mayweather was hoisted to the summit of boxing after victories over ex-world champions Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah, Carlos Baldomir, Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Saul Alvarez, Marcos Maidana and Manny Pacquiao.

His fight against Pacquiao was his last, a bout he won, in May 2015. It was dubbed "the most lucrative fight of all time" also "The Fight of the Century", or the "Battle for Greatness". Mayweather won on scores of 116-112, 116-112, and 118-110.

Mayweather has been constantly linked to 50th fight and a potential rematch with Manny Pacquiao - but as it stands, he has no plans to return.
