Poor Yohann Diniz has an accident
A French athlete battled through an extremely sticky situation after he suffered the unfortunate ignominy of pooing himself 15km into the men's Olympic 50km walking race.
Yohann Diniz's plight was caught on camera with brown stains running down the back of his legs after soiling his pants midway through the contest.
Diniz was the favourite to clinch gold in Rio and is the world record holder. But once illness kicked in he struggled to dominate the pack.
World champion Matej Toth of Slovakia, eventually won the race ahead of London 2012 gold medallist Jared Tallent of Australia in second and Japan's Hirooki Arai bronze.

This is pretty grim (Picture: BBC)
You've got to feel pretty sorry for Diniz, who eventually finished in a creditable 11th place, seeing his Olympic dreams end in such humiliating fashion.
Long-distance endurance sports are known to cause real issues for athletes – just ask Paula Radcliffe – and Diniz was an unfortunate to be racing with an illness on a day when temperatures reached up to 27 degrees.

Despite all the issues he encountered, the 38-year-old proved himself to be a true Olympic hero by refusing to give up and persevering.
Ultimately, he may prove to be the most unlikely hero of the Games and he certainly earned the respect of the Twitter masses…
Yohann Diniz has quickly become my favourite athlete of the Olympics… incredible ammount of bravery and passion
