Next time you travel, please seek info about the many things where you intend to go: security, culture, etiquette etc (country conditions), escorts, diseases and laws. Foreign travelers are often targeted for the foreign currencies and travelers' cheques they carry. Usually departments of international affairs arrange such information sessions.
