SV: {UAH} Clinton vs Trump debate, Americans are the losers?

Mw Ocolot,
I think, with the kind of nationalism in France and most European countries, deep in their hearts of hearts including journalists are dying to see a Trump win in November.
It is the same doctrine with did the BREXIT in the UK!
The only best thing for Clinton and friends to do is to go and vote rightly. The bad thing is that most minorities do not go to vote in most elections being it here in Northern Europe we do worse but only start to complain when elections are over!

The debate was indeed a real boxing match between a billionaire
and a secretary of state. To many media observations which had just
a quick glance on what happened, Clinton had an advantage as she was
considered to have had a thourough preparation of the event. But from many French news media point of view who really won? Clinton who was credited with over 60% of the debate exit poll or Trump who only had 27%?
As one serious newspaper puts it, none of the two candidates was a loser but it
was the Americans who stood to lose because the two candidates have many
weaknesses on many issues. And that other coming debates will try to show whether which one of the two is most apt for State House.
Clinton was credited with a very good knowledge of the official files and issues. Neverhteless, like his rival, she didn't succeed to bring something new to the table.
Observations are that clinton gave Trump a hard time in the debate but there was no KO in her favour because Trump outdid her on the economic side with his wish to introduce protectionism on marketing and employment. He won other points when he qualified himself as an outsider competing against a candidate of the establishment which, according to him, had bad results to show.
Another media observation in France noted that things were still on the same scale as before the debate because none of the two candidates did commit any very serious error that would prove detrimental to his / her candidacy although Trump had a bad evening!
Now the question remains to be seen, as one media report insists, if Clinton has been rated the winner of the debate, will she really start up again and strongly outclass Trump? Another press report tends to give the answer to the question by noting that for the time being Clinton has the task to win back many key states which have of late had their former big margins in favour of Clinton reduced in favour of Trump : Florida now at 50/50, North Carolina 50/50 ( this is the state which Trump is supposed to keep at any cost in order to win the election), Colorado 50/50, and a lot to be seen in the coming weeks. Does this mean that the Americans may somehow be determined to push Trump to the White House in spite of all risks in order to expect awards from his policies notably on the economy? Perhaps.......
One leading French paper has gone on to criticise the poll presented by CBS and other American medias whereby Clinton has been polled the winner of the debate.
The French paper, according to its findings, reports on the exceeding numbers of Democrats on the pannel that guided the opinion poll. It further refers to another poll by The Hill media house which, on the contrary, credits Trump with 59% of the vote and Clinton with just 36%.
Overall observation, in particular in France, cautions prudence in an election which is likely to cause many surprises!
