BUDUDA: Police in Bududa district have arrested Bududa Hospital Administrator, Mr Amuza Kabalya and two others on allegations of negligence.
The arrest follows Tuesday's incident where a 44-year-old man stormed the hospital and stabbed his wife to death.
Daily Monitor learnt that the assailant identified as Robert Wanambwa also stabbed and injured the young brother of the 22-year-old Catherine Namee ( the deceased) as he tried to save her.

The couple is said to have been married for some time before they separated following marital conflicts. They had two children.
Namee had reportedly accused Wanambwa of marrying a second wife.
Namee's father Sam Kutosi, said after separating, she had returned to school and was in Senior Four at Masaba High School – Nauyo in Mbale.
"My daughter had gone to the hospital to check on her brother's son who was admitted at the children's ward. But this man followed her up to the hospital and stabbed her thrice," said Mr Kutosi who could not hold back his tears.

The District Police Commander, Mr Godwin Ochaki said among the people arrested includes, the hospital administrator and two security guards at the health facility.

He told Daily Monitor on Friday that the assailant took advantage of darkness and lack of security at the main gate of the hospital to sneak into the facility and stab his wife.
"The hospital has taken long without power. They operate in darkness," said Mr Ochaki but was quick to note that even if the facility had no power, they have a generator which is supposed to be used as an alternative.
Mr Ochaki explained that there were no security personnel at the gate.

"How someone could enter the hospital with a knife and covered face and the guards don't arrest him?" he wondered.
He described it as negligence of duty by the hospital administrator and the guards.
"Why should somebody die in a place which is secured and receives money for security?" he asked.
The DPC however said police have taken over the security at the hospital and other health facilities in the district.
However, a nurse who preferred anonymity told this newspaper at Bududa District headquarters that the hospital has been grappling with numerous challenges, including lack of electricity for the last eight months and better equipment.

"Sometimes we ask patients to buy candles or torches for lighting. We have a generator which works for a few minutes and switches off," she said.
Mr Kabalya declined to comment on the matter and instead referred this newspaper to Mr David Lubunga, the Chief Administrative Officer, Bududa District.
However, Mr Lubunga also declined to comment on the matter.
"I cannot comment on something which I don't know. I have not been around for some time and therefore, I have no details," he said.
