{UAH} DIASPORA CONTRIBUTION. CALL IT TAX!

I have asked a close friend and MP in Uganda to table a motion or (seek consideration for you Americans) along the above subject. I feel its necessary that people living and working abroad in the western countries should pay some tax towards the help they received from the government before leaving home. Particular, professionals who were trained in Uganda but left to ply their trade abroad. These guys benefited from education at home and so its fair that they pay back. I am not sure how much should be paid in tax but i am suggesting 2% of one's take home. This money will be ear marked for project decided by the diaspora; another of my suggestion.

If this is not adopted, we will certainly do it when the federal system is in place.

So keep your ears to the ground.
