{UAH} I don’t mind standing alone, I believe in Museveni- Kamya

"Better be alone than in bad company" so the saying goes.
Minister in charge of Kampala Beti Kamya knows the meaning of than phrase than anyone else in her company.
Kamya who also doubles as the leader of the 'opposition' Uganda Federal Alliance has scoffed at her critics saying she would rather be left alone in the world than stay with people who don't appreciate her competence and value.
According to the former opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Secretary General, Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni saw value in her, a reason as to why she was appointed to serve in his cabinet.
"For me, I don't mind standing alone so long as I believe. Switching sides is typical of a winning politician. It's a losing politician who stays," said Kamya in a televised interview on NBS.
According to her, she's not the first nor the last to cross from one political side to another.
"Look at Besigye (FDC leader Dr Kizza Besigye). He was not born in FDC. Yes, I'm a politician in the move. President Museveni has consistently, since 2001, seen the value in me," she added.
Kamya, a former long time critic of Museveni over what she would describe as abuse of constitutional power and principles of democracy said her tireless efforts to climb the leadership ladder in the opposition bore no fruits.
"I'm at the vantage point of knowing how how things work in government.
I was in the opposition and they did not see the value that president Museveni sees in me. I worked with the opposition for a long time but they did not see my competence and if they did, they did not appreciate. I was the Secretary General of FDC for a long time but they did not allow me to performance. I was compelled to move. I tried to be the chairperson of the party after the death of Dr. Kiggundu and I know what they did to me," she said
