{UAH} I HAVE LEFT POKOPOKO STAGE TO THE NEXT..
The Kamunye or the Kampala taxis as we know them can sometime be such a pain in the ass. I once took an old one to Nsambya hopital , when we approached the hill heading to the hospital, the gear lever literally broke which meant the taxi could not engage to a much stronger one to ease us to the pinnacle. The driver did not panic. He carried on at the same speed, slowly slowly until we reached to the final stage.
In The words of E. Roosevelt, great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events and simple discuss people. This is cannot be more true than the recent event in Kampala regarding Betty Kamya. The torrent of abuse and the dislocation thought process clearly shows that many on this forum are still marooned at pokopoko level of civilisation, where people and events are what most consider talking about and wasting time over. Like the taxi driver , the breaking of the gear lever did not mean the end of the journey, however, insurmountable, technically and physically. He still maneuvered his way to the top. I see myself into this courageous and determined driver who simply did not give up because a cog is fallen off. The motive is to reach the top and the idea is to keep going however slow and not get marooned by opinion and events at pokopoko stage.
Betty Kamya is he proverbial lever that should not make anybody lose sleep over her utterance. What we should lose sleep over is if she denounced federalism as a system and it would be our duty to put forward our argument to sustain the superiority of the system we desire over the useless and exploitative unitary and monarchical system. That is what is what ideas is all about and that is how great minds should operate.
Got to sleep!
