{UAH} PROPAGANDA FROM BOTH SIDES

Abu,
I am not sure if you can put "self-respecting" and "journalist" in the same same sentence! Today, journalists are respected according to which side they support...it used to be journalists would inform us of the news. Today, their sole purpose is to make you like something or dislike something.  That is why I don't watch TV news. Most of my news info comes from small independent sources and from raw sources.  eg if someone is quoting unemployment numbers, I don't settle for the talking points in a news release.  I go to the department of Labor's website and see for myself.
As for newspapers, I just peruse the headlines quickly to see which story is worth reading.  But I when i decide to read about something (a news item), I always try to read both democratic and republican papers...I almost always avoid opinion pieces.  I don't like propaganda from either side.
During the democratic primaries, Bernie was running neck and neck with Hillary but those shows were not talking about Bernie.  Today, there are FOUR candidates running for president but I am sure you will hear about Trump and Hillary but not hear anyone mention the other two candidates!
The biggest problem with my approach is that it is hard to get time to access the raw sources.  So I tend to miss a lot of important stories.  e.g I didn't know about the San Bernadino terrorist shootings until Nekyon told me one or two days later!
thanks
