{UAH} Third Axis (Special Forces) new deputy chief accused of hunting down Col Sabiti’s moles

BY AMBROSE MUSIIME ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2016

Anger is brewing up within the sections of the Special Forces command after some sections of the elite force accused the new deputy commander Col Don Nabasa of hunting down some officers suspected to have been close to former deputy commander Col Muzeyi Sabiti.

According to one of the victims who had also been working closely with Sabiti but preferred anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter, most operatives suspected who were suspected to have close ties with the former deputy commander are now on Katebe (not deployed).

"Myself I have been on Katebe because of Col Don Nabasa but I have just been deployed in the Chieftaincy of land forces by afande (a high ranking army officer name withheld on request) but others are still not deployed". A victim told us.

He added" we were not briefed by our bosses but ever since Sabiti left we have never been deployed until me I approached afande who is also my friend and he managed to get me a deployment."

It is also indicated that Col Sabiti who also after losing office is a much stressed man after US embassy denied him a visa to go for military training at Sand Hurst.

A close source from his home in Buziga told this website that Sabiti has since resorted to very early morning jogging to keep fit, watching TV and making phone calls to his friends for any business.

"He wakes up and goes for jogging and he is waiting until the commander -in- chief decides".

It was reported that Brig Muhoozi Kainerugaba the commander Special Forces was unhappy with aspects of Sabiti's work, prompting the decision to send him for training.

He was however denied a visa to travel for the course in USA allegedly because of his role in the last election.

Special Forces command spokesperson Maj Chris Magezi could not be reached for a comment on the said allegations.
