{UAH} Analysis of uganda economy

Dear Fellow Ugandans..

NBS was hosting Abdrew Mwenda ..Hon Mao ..Ofono Opondo etc of thier prog  ;

Anlysis of Ugandas economy. I listened carefully tho it was hard to hear the the guest of the shaw but i tried to liste to the best i could. May be NBS needs to check their speakers so that listeners dont really have to strain to hear them. For the NBS official i could hear him properly but the speakers it was really hard.
.Anyway my concerns with the speakers are as follows.

Abdrew  is a gifted speaker but listening to him i could hardly see his guenuine point on the Ugandas economy and how it can be out of the crisis. He tried to shape that the current situation is ok instituions run by govt  are doing well sighting New Vision NSSF etc. but  he failed to indentify the following ;

1. The Demand factor....consumer and their confidence on the consuption of good produced...either in the country or abroad. People are poor. NRM made people poorer jn order to contral them But they forgot that demand factor affects economy which contributes to unpopularity of the regim. People cant afford goods...fees ..food...medication...etc.

2. The suply of goods.. who suply the good in the country? productivity capacity...who are they..... do they rejnvest the money the money innthe country  to creat more jobs or maney is repatriated.....
including him  he invest his money in foreign banks especially in Rwanda

The quality of good produced are they of benefit to the people or inducing illness which are affecting their ability to produce...ie cancer...Ulcers..etc..

3. Consumer cinfidence...are Ugandans sure of their future....most dont have jobs. those with jobs are based on relations...or love affairs...not qualification.Thus no job security for those with jobs. Their consuption is hindered as they know they wont have the job tomoro so they either swindle as much as they can invest it abroad. Many Ugandans from the Rwakitura cicrcles are living  abroad ...with bought house in foregn countries.... tell me how confident are people to spend jn Uganda... they woyld rather spend their money abroad ..than Uganda..

Real wages...of Ugandans are very poor... the cost of living is high but wages are not increased. how do people spend ...

The exchange rate of Ugandan shilling is very poor compared to Kanya..TZ and Rwanda... so how does the economy florish...

The value of our export  is very low compared to importz.. The little that comes from exports is swindled by M7 and his henchmen. You all know Mwendas sister telling us she sold goats to buy the land... surely...then Mwenda comes here on NBS to tell us that govt institutions are doing well...according to him bec his among those swindling money from the govt to his Rwandan native country.

Infrustructre.  .ohhh God... school roads...transport...storage facilities for food..as for Uganda do we have these in place to support and sustain the economy to growth... Mwenda must go back to the village and see reality...

Human resources...do we have competent Ugandans to work.....do we have effective training based on jobs related....are workers motivated....tske exampke the medical team in Uganda are they motivated to work... are Teachers motivated  to worker..etc..

The Bahima took over and they cant deliver...very incompetent people.. not all but majority are really not capable to deliver good exampke M7 he has failed the country completely. See now how the country is in dust...

The political climate...is it stable...for Mwenda yes but are Ugandans happy with the current regime...the answer is no... people are not keen to work to support M7 in anyway they want him out. and this is affecting the economy...thjnk of M7 when he had come to power.. earky 1990s our economy  was booming but to day hospitals operate people on a touch.... Mwenda says govt institutions are doing well dont get him.

Climate changes of recent we have seen our climate change and people are not prepared for it . Shortage of food to day in Uganda is at the peak. A kg of posho 3000sh. yet to get 3000sh you sweat . tell me with our extended families and poligamy...family how do we cope... no food crops produced due to lack of rain how do we cope. does the govt know what can be done... no... Mwenda credits the govt institution...look at Kawanda Reaearch Institute... they have failed to save banana plantations people arenstarving in villages ...Mwenda says govt instutution are doing great namunagani....
