BUGANDA TALKS: LAWYERS ARRIVE
THE Kabaka's legal adviser, Mr. Martin Flegg and the Buganda lawyers, Mr. Phineas Quass, Q.C. and Mr. David Downs, arrived at Entebbe Airport yesterday to take part in the Buganda Constitutional Talks between the Governor of Uganda, Sir Frederick Crawford, and Buganda Government representatives on Monday.
The lawyers held private discussions with members of the Buganda Constitutional Committee in the Bulange yesterday and will continue over the weekend.
It was also confirmed at Mengo that the Kabaka was due to meet the Governor at Entebbe yesterday for private discussions, at the invitation of the Governor. It was understood they were to discuss the pattern of Monday's talks.
It was also confirmed yesterday that the Kabaka's Government would be unable to send a delegation to the Uganda Prime Ministers' Conference which was to take place in Jinja next week, because of the Constitutional Talks.
