{UAH} CARDINAL NZAPALAINGA'S NOMINATION ROUSES A NATION TO A FRENZY OF MADNESS!

The Pope has made it! His policy of bringing the centre to the periphery has won big in the Central African Republic ( and elsewhere ). Since the radio announcement last Sunday ( 09/10/2016 ) informing the population of the Central African Republic of the Pope's decision to create cardinal Bangui's fearless and very much respected Archbishop Dieudonnée Nzapalainga ( CSSp ) the entire country went wild with great jubilation characterized by unprecedented scenes of special joy whose effect even touched not only the Centrafrican diaspora but also the neighbouring countries!
In the capital, Bangui itself, hundreds of thousands of people of all confessions welcomed the news with ululations mingled with the hooting of motor-car horns and drumming, etc...as they poured all along the streets to cheer the new cardinal, their very first one, who was eventually chauffered to the Cathedral for the thanksgiving service. The police and the special force security body had to come in regularly with vigour to push away the enthusiastic masses that were from time to time blocking the cardinal's car from moving forward! And at the Cathedral countless thousands had already crammed the entire compound and thousands had squeezed in the edifice to have a glimpse of the new cardinal who in his first message as cardinal promised to multiply efforts for unity and peaceful co-habitation for all people of the Central African Republic. He was cheered throughout his sermon which received ululations and mighty ovations.
At the same time messages of congratulation for the appointment were pouring in from all over the globe. The President of the Republic, H.E. Mr Faustin Archange Touadera expressed joy at the Pope's decision and promised to revive his future programme in order to be able to attend the cardinal's inauguration in Rome. Very many compatriots from home and the diaspora will indeed travel to Rome for the occasion which crowns the many honours and international awards the cardinal has so far received  in recognition of his very courageous efforts for peace in his country. Indeed Cardinal Nzapalainga has toiled for this peace. he has always been a prelate reaching all fellow citizens, and this impressed the Pope who now in turn awards him with a cardinalate, one of the greatest honours in the world.
Cardinal Nzapalainga comes from a poor background, in a family of 8 children, himself being the fifth. He found Christianity through his early contacts with the Holy Ghost Fathers whose congregation he joined at an early age. He has always been a very successful religious, first as chaplain in a French school of the poor and disabled in central France. Then when he returned to Bangui he was successively appointed to many important positions until he was finally named Archbishop of Bangui by Pope Benedict XVI. He has succeeded to give a special radiance and influence to the episcopal see of Bangui where he is venerated by all including Christians, Moslems, animists, etc.. And all have welcomed with great joy his appointment in which they see a beginning to permanent peace in the country.
And Cardinal Dieudonné Nzapalainga will definitely be the real architect of this peace! The Central Africans have accused the authorities of ignoring them but have always commended Cardinal Nzapalainga for being very close to them in every situation that has characterized their immense suffering!
As for Pope Francis, he is going very strong as usual. His Wednesday general audiences continue to attract pilgrims who for the last three weeks have filled the entire St Peter's Square!! And in the one of last  Wednesday  ( 12/10/2016 ) among the hundreds of thousands of pilgrims present were large groups from Namibia, Nigeria, Congo (DRC), Ghana, and the Arab World. All ululated the Pope as he toured the Square waving to the people. And the new nominations of these heroic cardinals have been welcomed with special warmth all over the world. And he has again made history by appointing our fellow Ugandan Archbishop A. Kasujja as Nuncio in Belgium! Kasujja's appointment is being welcomed as Pope Francis's sign to show that trust in the universality of the Church. And he appoints this Ugandan prelate of all battlefields to be his representative in Belgium, a place which Kasujja will manage thanks to his courage and resolution in making correct decisions at a right time! he's known for this! Congs to Augustine Kasujja for Uganda! We wish him the best in his new appointment!
