{UAH} A BIG 'THANK YOU' TO ANGLELLA KATATUMBA!
Friends,
Unlike those who are waiting for foreigners(in form of FBI,CIA, e.t.c,) to recognise their achievements, please let us all comment with a ' thank you', 'bless you' or 'mukama akwongele', in recognition of Ms. Angella Katatumba's which are considerable. She has recently donated beds worth shs.15m to Mulago hospital. Last year or so, she donated shs.10m to the same hospital. I dont know this lady on a personal level but I really admire what she's doing. She has paid her dues to the country that raised her, and now its everybody else's turn. I wish the rest of the UAH members emulate her and contribute financially to the causes we post on this forum.
Just as you would expect, there's a real cost to not living in a supportive government. We can see it not only in the state of our hospitals, schools decline, but within ourselves as people. Most Ugandans have lost hope, as they watch their government spending money carelessly mainly on the millitary. By the way, one of the characteristics of a failed president is the need to micro-manage every government institution especially the millitary. This, folks, is what is meant by "a waste of human protoplasm."
I'm,therefore, inclined to think that we should all be doing what Ms.Angella is doing to help out our institutions in any way we can. It takes more of a patriot to part with money towards a big cause as Mulago hospital. Interestingly, Ms.Katatumba grew up in Mbarara and she's a daughter of Mr.Bonny Katatumba. She did her primary education at her father's 'ranch' called Katatumba Academy between 1986 – 1994 before joining Belmont Senior Secondary School in Vancouver, B.C, Canada. She then went to Oxford Brookes University, England where she got Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Law. She has got a Masters in International Management / Public Relations. She has a lot of experience in the hospitality industry, and i'm sure we could make a good chef out of her if anybody could whisper it nicely in her ears. For my part, I thank you, Ms.Angella Katatumba, for your role in humanitarian causes in Uganda. Thank you!
