SECRETARY CLINTON TO LOSE ACCESS TO INTEL BRIEFINGS

Washington D.C. – According to multiple sources, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will suspend former Secretary Clinton’s access to intelligence briefings today due to the ongoing investigation into her use of private email servers while she was Secretary of State.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper recently said he would not withhold briefings from any nominated presidential candidate. “Nominees for president and vice president receive these classified briefings by virtue of their status as candidates, and do not require separate security clearances before the briefings,” Clapper wrote.

That all seemed to change over the weekend after Clapper met with several high-ranking FBI officials and concluded that the appropriate action is to suspend Mrs. Clinton’s access to all intelligence briefings until further notice.

Mrs. Clinton called on the FBI last week to release all information in its renewed investigation into her use of a private server while secretary of state after discovering new emails, apparently during the probe of former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s sexting scandal, in a stunning turn of events just days before the presidential election.

House Speaker Ryan, R-WI, blasted Clinton, saying she betrayed the public’s trust “by carelessly mishandling classified information.”

When news broke last Friday that the FBI had decided to reopen its investigation, Ryan renewed his call for officials to suspend Clinton from further security briefings. “As you know, the FBI’s investigation of Secretary Clinton’s unauthorized personal email found substantial evidence that Secretary Clinton and her staff have been extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, classified information,” Ryan wrote.

It now appears that Ryan’s tireless efforts have paid off as multiple sources on Capital Hill expect an announcement to be made as FBI Director James Comey is expected to hold a press conference later today.
