I think and heard from our elderly folks that before the coming of Colonial Britain in Central Luoland. Let me say right from current day South Sudan down to Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom and, today Kotido district. The area goes down south to Dola-land when a married lady died after she had children with the man the sister take over the husband of her sister. This culture, I think was good bcos we did not have the strong social system which could take care of the orphans in our Luoland Society those days.
Such Cultural ethics, I think was good and was wrong to have been abolished before we could get the betterly made social body for our folks. I think, the social services as we see here in Sweden and other Nordic countries started on the kinds of the Jua kali the Luo folks wanted to build for their societies.
