{UAH} France ready to win the handball championship trophy for the sixth consecutive time!

They have already won it five times, and in addition they have done wonders
at the Olympics and in other international competitions. France's very famous men's handball team will this weekend try to win the coveted world champinonship trophy for a record sixth consecutive time. Always very difficult to beat the French side easily triumphed over the excellent Swedish team in the quarter finals last Tuesday   (24/01/2017 ) in a thriller  that saw them beat the Swedes 33 to 30 points. The match was watched by an estimated 28,000 fans who had squeezed in an indoor stadium in the southern city of Lyon. And over 6.5 million televiewers in the country and millions of others abroad followed the competition. BEIN Sports 1 TV channel won the contract to relay all the matches worldwide. All players on both sides did a very commendable job to impress the excited fans. The French team shone characteristically with the presence of  world's handball guru, the very famous Nikola Karabatic who at one occasion towards the end of the match threw in a very powerful and impressive score from six metres away! The semi-finals are scheduled today Thursday 26/01/2017 and tomorrow Friday 27/01/2017. Today's semi final match will front France with Slovakia who beat the Emirates in the quarter finals ( 32 - 30 ). The match will take place in Paris this evening at 8 pm (Paris time). Over 30,000 will be present. And all tickets have been sold out at prices ranging from 15 euros ( for the handicapped and school children) to 30 euros ( the VIP seats go from 50 to 70 euros). The second semi-final will stage
Croatia and Norway in Paris tomorrow Friday ( 8.45 pm) and Saturday, same place and same time, will be the semi finals losers' match for the bronze medal. While Sunday ( 29/01/2017 ) same place and same time will host the final match.
