{UAH} French leftist parties in search of a joint presidential candidate.

Like their colleagues on the right who a month ago voted former
Premier François Fillon (62) to represent them in the forthcoming
French presidential election scheduled in 4 months' time, the leftists
have this weekend just concluded their round one poll with two candidates
emerging quite successfully for round two next Sunday  ( 29/01/2017) which will
determine the ultimate winner. This first round has been won by Mr Benoît Hamon (49) who beat the other seven candidates with 36.21 % of the total votes cast by the
1,500,000 voters in France and overseas. Former Premier Manuel Valls ( 54) came out second with 31.17% of the total votes. Both will fight it out next Sunday to find the real flagbearer. But as the rightists have also Ms Marine Le Pen (48)of the extreme right National Front party who is determined to stand and who may wrongly think she can win, so on the left there is also the very powerful young Mr Emmanuel Macron (39), an energetic and extremely charismatic candidate who is also standing but without any defined programme except what he deems necessary for the efficient service of the masses in all sectors, and this departure from the traditional clinging on manifestoes is now reaping a lot of good fruit for him and he threatens to take the presidency as what he elaborates appears to have much appeal to the people who in general no longer take keen interest in the regular noises axing on a myriad of promises. Observers believe that whoever will win next Sundays final poll will have to be tempted to back down in favour of young
Macron who has already won popularity everywhere in the country where he has designed militants to put in action those policies once elected President of France.
