Fellow Ugandans At Heart,
I accidentally came accross this video when I was simply looking for some musical entertainment from the Youtube. I couldn't immediately believe that my eyes were serving me rightly, or whether I was dreaming!
As I mentioned sometime ago, I was brought up in a multi-religious family and all along believed that kindness towards other people was obligatory if one wished to please the Creator, God. I also mentioned how my Uncle always told me stories from the Holy Koran, so that I believed that Islam was such a beautiful religion that brought together all the children of God as one family.
I am also always glad to see stories told by devoted Moslems like our brother Abbey K. Semuwemba and of course our sister Afuwa Kasule, among others.
After watching this video which was filmed secretly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which many call, "The Holy Land", I still don't know what to think or believe any more, as far as 'Religion' is concerned!
May I therefore use this opportunity to warn fellow Ugandans, especially girls, or women who are sent to Saudi Arabia supposedly for jobs, only to realise when it's too late that they actually have been sent for 'slavery'. No monetary payment, but whips and other forms of brutality.
I don't intend to give a bad image to any religious denomination, but surely, this video is 'food for thought'.
