If not, allow images or view online Home Plan journey Status update Visiting London Dear Mr Okelld, Here is our weekly travel update to help you get around London this weekend, 14-15 January. Most of the network will be open with services running as normal, but please check if any of the following affect you. London Underground We are undertaking a comprehensive improvement programme across London's transport network, including the modernisation of the Tube. Metropolitan line Trains will not run between Aldgate and Wembley Park while we carry out track and drainage replacement work between Baker Street and Finchley Road. London Overground On Sunday, there will be no service between Romford and Upminster. This is while Network Rail carry out infrastructure work, as well as Crossrail construction work. There is no service between Gospel Oak and Barking until February. This is while Network Rail carry out major works to enable new, longer trains to run from 2018. For more information, please click here To see the latest London Overground timetables, please click here TfL Rail On Sunday, trains will not run between Chadwell Heath and Brentwood. This is while Network Rail carry out track and station improvements as part of their Railway Upgrade Plan, as well as Crossrail construction work. There is no service between Brentwood and Shenfield until late May. This is while Network Rail carry out major work at Shenfield to upgrade tracks, signalling and overhead lines. While we will try to maintain a good service, buses may be delayed or stop short of their normal destination: City of London - From 16:30 until 20:00 today, Thursday, extensive road closures will be in place in the area. This is due to a demonstration taking place at Bank junction. Additional demonstrations are due to take place between 15:00 and 19:00 from Monday to Friday next week. Central London - From Saturday until late November there will be various restrictions in place while Cambridge Circus regeneration scheme works take place. From 08:00 on Saturday until 21:00 on Sunday, Charing Cross Road will be closed southbound between Denmark Street and Shaftesbury Avenue. For a list of closure dates and locations, please click here Central London - From 13:30 until 17:00 on Sunday, there will be delays to traffic and possible road closures on Portland Place, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Haymarket, Cockspur Street, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. This is for a march. Romford - From 08:00 on Monday until mid-April, various lane restrictions and closures will be in place in both directions on A12 Eastern Avenue at the junction of Barley Lane. This is for junction improvement works.
