Uganda has about 8 million dwellings. If there were provision for utilities and amenities facilitation, the country will not be in this terrible economic and financial situation!

Do some mathematics here below:

It is in Sweden I learnt how public utilities and amenities made a country rich. I used to pay an annual fee of 1000 Swedish crowns (shs 360000) for Television. Electricity all more than 20 years I paid no more than 450 (shs 162000 monthly) Swedish crowns. Phone and internet it was slightly lower than electricity.

What amazed me – at every end of the year you could get a check sending some money back to me in what was termed as over payment!

I had to find out exactly what this meant! These state/city council utilities knew exactly how many people were on their grid network. So they had clear expenditure flow statements, their running cost and necessary profit that had a ceiling!

 

Above that product cost + profits the money will be returned to clients.
