Buganda Road Grade One Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu has released on bail Swaibu Nsamba Gwojolonga, an FDC member accused of offensive communication under Section 25 of Computer
Misuse Act And Section 179 Of The Penal Code Act.

Nsamba who is also the FDC Chairperson for Katikamu South Constituency was arrested on Friday 9th December 2016 after making Facebook post expressing keenness to announce and mourn the death of president, Yoweri Museveni when he dies.

The post was accompanied by a doctored photo of how President Museveni's body will look like when he dies.

Nsamba says the charges against him infringe on his freedom of expression.

Later on 19th December Nsamba was produced before Buganda Road court where he denied the charges and was remanded to Luzira Prison.

He was released today following a successful bail application filed on the same day by his counsel John Michael Musisi.

The accused was stood surety by one Seninde Juma Lubega his young brother and Hasifa Nazziwa his biological mother.

The magistrate ordered the state prosecution to serve the defense with all required documentsthey intend to rely on in this matter before 11 January when the hearing is expected to commence.
