{UAH} Uganda fighting for economic breath

Uganda is currently facing multiple problems - a prolng dry spell that has hit two seasons of fod production. Food prices are going up - in just a month sugar went up by 1000/= kg, posho now stample food stuff went up by 1200 -1500/ kg etc. all types meat has seen a suge in prices but low consumption in the country side living farmers with unsold stock.

Receding Corruption that has been fuelling a shadow economy and now taking toll on irreaistic consumption has seen the so called middle class swept aside hitting hard the estates , motor vechicle and retail markets.

Avian flu has come at a very bad time. Bird farmers are making loses on top of high production cost for feeds.

The social effects are ernomous.
